THE ROCKLAND COUNCIL ON ALCOHOLISM & OTHER DRUG DEPENDENCE, INC. (RCADD) WELCOMES SUPPORT GROUPS FOR FAMILIES, FRIENDS OF PEOPLE WITH ALCOHOLISM AND ADDICTION.
MONDAY FAMILY ANONYMOUS 7:30pm-8:30pm
A 12 Step fellowship for the families and friends who have known a feeling of desperation concerning the destructive behavior of someone very near to them, whether caused by drugs, alcohol, or related behavioral problems. When you come into our rooms you are no longer alone, but among friends who have experienced similar problems. Any concerned person is encouraged to attend our meetings, even if there is only a suspicion of problem.
MONDAY SMART RECOVERY 7:00pm-8:30pm
Smart Recovery is the leading self-empowering addiction recovery support group. Our participants learn tools for addiction recovery based on the latest scientific research and participate in a world-wide community which includes free, self-empowering, science-based mutual help groups.
TUESDAY GRIEF RECOVERY AFTER A SUBSTANCE PASSING (GRASP) 6:30pm-8:00pm
Meets 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the Month. GRASP provides an outlet to address those tragic deaths from alcohol and other drugs to ease the pain away for those left to cope. WEDNESDAY NAR-ANON 7:30pm-9:30pm
The Nar-Anon Family Group is primarily for those who know or have known a feeling of desperation concerning the addiction problem of someone very near to you. We have traveled that unhappy road too, and found the answer with serenity and peace of mind.
THURSDAY AL-ANON- ADULT CHILD 8:00pm-9:00pm Starting January 4th, 2018
Al-Anon Adult Children for the purpose of gathering together adults seeking help coping with the affects of having a parent, step-parent, guardian, or childhood caretaker who may be or has been a problem drinker. For more information, call Marsha at 845-429-76-23.
SATURDAY NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS 7:30pm-8:30pm
NA is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem.
SATURDAY CIRCLE OF HOPE 10:30am-12:00pm (Meets 4th Saturday of every month, beginning March 23,2019)
RCADD in partnership with ADAC and Circle of Hope Support Group is offering a monthly support group for family members or loved ones who care are caring for someone dealing with substance use disorder. SUNDAY REFUGE RECOVERY 10:45am-12:15pm
Whether this path is familiar to you or new to you, we all benefit from the support of a community of peers who share this journey. For that reason, Refuge Recovery seeks to support those on this path by building an extensive and comprehensive network of Refuge Recovery meetings and communities that practice, educate, and provide Buddhist-inspired guidance and meditations for anyone seeking recovery from addiction.
